CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. -- Marines with 2nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 8th Engineer Support Company, 2nd Marine Logistics Group hugged their family and bonded with friends at the EOD Headquarters building here, before deploying to Afghanistan.

EOD technicians perform various hazardous duties that include locating, identifying, neutralizing and disposing of hazards that present a threat to operations, installations, personnel, or materiel.

As the sun faded away, the Marines with the company kissed their loved ones, hugged their friends and stepped onto a bus taking them down range.
