Lieutenant Colonel Daniel W. Robnett

Lieutenant Colonel Robnett is a native of Dallas, TX. He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and attended recruit training at MCRD San Diego in November 2001. Upon completion of basic training, MCT, and communications school he reported to 14th Marine Regiment. He voluntarily activated and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with Fox Company, 2nd Bn, 2nd Marines to Fallujah, Iraq from April 2005 to February 2006. He subsequently was commissioned in December 2006.

In April 2008, he reported to Truck Company Bravo, 1st Marine Division where he served as Truck Platoon Commander. During this billet he deployed with 1st Bn 7th Marines to Fallujah and Ramadi, Iraq from February to August of 2009 as the Bn’s Truck Platoon Commander. Upon return from deployment, he was selected to serve as the Commanding Officer of Truck Company Bravo, 1st Marine Division for 11 months before being selected to serve as the Battalion Operations Officer for Headquarters Bn, 1st Marine Division. In February 2011, he reported to 3rd Bn, 1st Marines to serve as the Bn Logistics Officer. During this billet he deployed with the 11th MEU throughout PACOM and CENTCOM from November 2011 to June 2012.

In July 2012, he reported to Manpower Management Enlisted Assignments and was selected to serve as the Aide-de-Camp for the Deputy Commandant of the Marine Corps, Manpower and Reserve Affairs from April 2013 to October 2014. At completion of this billet, he was selected to serve as the Company Grade Logistics and Supply Assignments Monitor at MMOA from October 2014 to August 2016. Following MMOA, he attended Resident Expeditionary Warfare School where he was selected to serve as the Class President and distinguished graduate.

As a field grade officer, he reported to Camp Lejeune in May 2017 serving as Bn Operations Officer for CLB 22, deploying in November 2018 with the 22D MEU throughout EUCOM, AFRICOM, and CENTCOM. Upon return from deployment, he reported to MARSOC in September 2019 serving as Regional Operations Officer for SOCAF and SOCPAC. He subsequently served as Logistics Officer, MDLOC OIC, Operations Officer, and Executive Officer at Marine Raider Support Group. At the completion of this tour, he was selected to attend Resident Command and Staff College where he was selected as Class Vice President and Van Riper Scholar graduate. After graduation, he reported to II MEF G4 to serve as Current Operations Officer before assuming command of CLB-8 in March 2023.

Lieutenant Colonel Robnett's military education includes: Command and Staff College, Expeditionary Warfare School, Advanced Expeditionary Logistics Course, Special Operations Planners Course, MCMAP Instructor Course, US Army Airborne Course, Joint MPF Planners Course, Joint Operational Contracting Planning and Education Course, SNCO Career Course, and Sgt's Course.

Lieutenant Colonel Robnett's civilian education includes: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from University of North Texas, Masters in Military Science (MMS) from Marine Corps University, and Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) from University of North Texas.

LtCol Robnett's personal awards include the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (x2), Navy Commendation Medal (x3), Navy Achievement Medal, and Combat Action Ribbon.
