HMCM Bradley Weiss Command Master Chief, 2nd Medical Battalion

Master Chief Weiss enlisted in the U.S. Navy in January 1992 and completed Recruit Training, Great Lakes, Illinois. Following completion of recruit training he reported to Hospital Corpsman “A” School in San Diego, California. His first assignment was to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton (NHCP) where he worked on both the Medical Surgical ward and the Intensive Care unit. He deployed in support of Joint Task Force 180, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of the Haitian relief.

In January 1994, he reported to Field Medical Service School (FMSS), Camp Pendleton, California to begin his service with the Fleet Marine Force. After completion of FMSS, he was assigned to 1st Battalion 4th Marines, 1st Marine Division. While assigned he deployed with the 15th MEU (SOC) and 13th MEU(SOC) serving as both a line company corpsman and Senior Line Corpsman for Bravo Company. Master Chief was promoted to the rank of Petty Officer Second Class and departed for his next assignment in Bremerton, Washington.

While assigned to Naval Hospital Bremerton, he served as the Leading Petty Officer for the Family Practice department, leading 22 Hospital Corpsmen and 8 Medical Assistants. He was a member of the command training team and command retention team, and completed his Associates of Applied Sciences from Vincennes University. In June of 2000, he departed for Naval Hospital Naples, Italy.

Master Chief was assigned to the Manpower/Personnel department and was assigned as the awards clerk, provider specialty pay and manpower analysts. After completing the transition from Naval Hospital Naples in Agnano, to Naval Hospital Naples, Griciangano, he selected for promotion to Petty Officer First Class and departed for assignment on Okinawa, Japan.

Upon his arrival at 3d Force Service Support Group (FSSG), he served as the Command Career Counselor for 3rd Medical Battalion and subsequently for 3rd FSSG on Camp Kinzer, Okinawa, Japan. Master Chief Weiss was selected for promotion to Chief Petty Officer and was reassigned as an Enlisted Detailer, Navy Personnel Command, Millington, TN.

While serving as an enlisted detailer, Master Chief Weiss was assigned as the Hospital Corpsman 0000/8404 and the Lead NEC Section Leader, overseeing the distribution of 8,400 Hospital Corpsmen. He was selected for promotion to Senior Chief Petty Officer and was deployed as an Individual Augmentee in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Bagram, Afghanistan. Upon return, Master Chief was reassigned to 3D Marine Regiment, 3D Marine Division, Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

Master Chief Weiss was assigned as the Leading Chief Petty Officer, Headquarters Company, 3D Marine Regiment and in May 2011, he was selected to become the Senior Enlisted Advisor at 3D Marine Regiment. He was selected for promotion to Master Chief Petty Officer and was selected for orders to Naval Health Clinic Quantico, Virginia.

HMCM Weiss is a graduate of the Air Force Staff NCO Academy, the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 182. His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation (4 Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and Joint Services Achievement Medal, various unit and campaign awards. He is qualified to wear the Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist (GCE/LCE).
