PO2 Jones and PO3 Green, hospital corpsmen with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, along with fellow Marines, rushed to the aid of a man who had been injured in a motorcycle accident. CLB-6 and Weapons Company, 2nd Battlion, 5th Marine Regiment were conducting training at Sardine Rock, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Center in Bridgeport, California, on Oct. 4, when a passing vehicle requested help after they had come upon the scene of a motorcycle accident. Sergeant Douglas Smith, a unit leader at the Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California, leads Marines from Combat Logistics Battalion 6 and 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment on a three-mile hike from lower base camp to Landing Zone Quail, where they will recieve classes the mountainous environment. Jeff Ehnen, a section leader with Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, demonstrates the use of robots to students of Lejeune High School, Oct. 3, 2014, aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C. Approximately 60 students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, packed the classroom to hear how the Marines use robotics on the battlefield and how engineering can better people’s lives.
