CAMP LEATHERNECK, Afghanistan - Sgt. Jonathan Vasquez, a New York City police officer and vehicle commander with Combat Logistics Regiment 2, Regional Command (Southwest), looks out the front window of his Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected vehicle during a combat logistics patrol in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Aug. 22, 2013. Vasquez joined the Marine Corps at the age of 17 and became a member of the New York City Police Department.
