Lieutenant Colonel Ashley E. Lish

Ashley E. Lish went to Parris Island SC in August of 1994 and graduated a Private First Class in November 1994.  Private First Class Lish reported to MCT in November 1994 and graduated in December 1994.  Private First Class Lish reported to Millington TN for “A” School as an Avionics Technician.  Upon graduation, Lance Corporal Lish went to Tustin, CA for follow on training.  Lance Corporal Lish reported to MCAS New River January 1996 and checked into HMH 461.  Corporal Lish deployed with the HMM 261 on the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) in 1997 and participated in OPERATION NOBLE OBLEISK and GAUDIAN RETREIVAL. Sergeant Lish reported for instructor duties to HMT 302 FREST in August 1999 where he taught his MOS (6323) and was Instructor of the Year in 2002.  Staff Sergeant Lish reported back to HMH 461 in July 2003 where he worked as the Quality Assurance Chief.  Staff Sergeant Lish completed his degree in history from Campbell University in December 2003 and was selected for the Enlisted Commissioning Program. 

Staff Sergeant Lish reported to Officers Candidate School (OCS) January 2004 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant upon graduation in March 2004.  Upon completion of The Basic School (TBS) in October 2004 and Supply Officer’s Course, he served as a Supply Officer for 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines from 2005 to 2008.  Second Lieutenant Lish deployed with the 22nd MEU as the Battalion Landing Team (BLT) Supply Officer and served in Hit, Iraq from November 2005 to March 2006.  First Lieutenant Lish deployed back to Iraq with 1st Battalion, 2nd Marines as a Surge Battalion in 2007 and served in Baghdadi.  In March 2008, First Lieutenant Lish reported to Marine Aircraft Group 29 to serve as the Supply Officer.  In August 2010, Captain Lish reported to School of Infantry East (SOI-E) to serve as the Supply Officer.  During his time at SOI-E, he graduated the Command and Staff Seminar Program.  In June 2012, Captain Lish reported to Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) at Quantico VA.  Captain Lish graduated EWS in June 2013 and reported to 2D Supply Battalion for duty as the Battalion Operations Officer.  In 2014, Captain Lish led a 200 man Task Organized Combat Logistics Battalion to Norway for Exercise Cold Response 14. 

Major Lish was promoted to his current rank 1 August 2014.  Major Lish was assigned as the Advise and Assist Supply and Logistics Advisor for the II MEF Advise and Assist (A&A) Team.  The team planned, organized, and established Task Force Al Taqqadum and advised the 10th Iraqi Army.  In July 2015, he reported to 2d Maintenance Battalion to serve as the Executive Officer.  During his time as the executive officer, the unit won the II MEF Chesty Puller Award and the Secretary of Defense Maintenance Unit of the Year Award.  Major Lish was selected for Command and Staff College Quantico and reported for school in August 2016.  Major Lish graduated and received a Master’s in Military Studies from the Marine Corps University.  Major Lish reported to Marine Special Operations Command, Marine Raider Support Group to serve as the Supply Officer in June 2017. In August 2019, Major Lish attended LogTech Advanced Program in Logistics and Technology at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. In April 2020, Major Lish reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 27 to serve as the Executive Officer.  On 22 May 2020, Major Lish was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel.

Lieutenant Colonel Lish’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with two gold stars in lieu of 3rd award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with one gold star in lieu of 2d award), and Good Conduct Medal (with two bronze stars in lieu of 3d award), One Humanitarian Service Medal, and one Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
