A native of Denver Colorado, Master Chief Roeder began his Naval service in December of 1996. After completing basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL he attended Hospital Corps School in Great Lakes, Field Medical Service School in Camp Lejeune, NC and Surgical Technologist c-school in Bethesda, MD
He reported to Naval Hospital, Beaufort SC for his first tour of duty in August of 1998. His shore tours include Naval Hospital, Pensacola, FL; Naval Hospital Keflavik, Iceland; and High Risk instructor duty at the US Navy Riverine Training Center. Master Chief Roeder reported for duty at Naval Dental Center Camp Lejeune in November of 2016 and was appointed as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader in March of 2018.
His sea duty assignments include: 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment; 10th Marine Regiment; Battalion Landing Team 2/6; 2d Maintenance Battalion (-) (REIN); Taqaddum Surgical Shock Trauma Platoon; 2d Medical Battalion; and Fleet Hospital 3, I MEF (FWD).
Master Chief Roeder is an Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare Specialist, Surface Warfare Specialist, Aviation Warfare Specialist and a Master Training Specialist. He is also a nationally certified Surgical Technologist, EMT-I and a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy, class 207 - Gray.
His personal decorations include multiple Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals and various unit and service awards.
