HMCM Jill B. Bankus

Master Chief Bankus enlisted in the United States Navy in December 1997 and completed Recruit Training, Great Lakes, Illinois. Following completion of recruit training she report to Hospital Corpsman “A” School in Great Lakes, Illinois.

Her prior duty stations include Naval Ambulatory Care Clinic, Kings Bay, Georgia (1998-2000). Field Medical Service School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina (2000). 10th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Expeditionary Brigade, and Division Surgeon’s Office, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2000-2003). Naval Hospital Twenty-Nine Palms, California (2003-2007); deployed as an individual augment with a Provisional Reconstruction Team to Forward Operating Base Asad Abad, Afghanistan (2006). 2d Radio Battalion, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2007-2010); deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Al Asad and Fallujah, Iraq (2007). 2d Medical Battalion, 2d Marine Logistical Group, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2010-2013); deployed with Alpha Surgical Company in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Forward Operating Base Edinburg (2011). Naval Expeditionary Training Institute, Camp Pendleton, California (2013-2016). 2d Marine Regiment and Division Surgeon’s Office, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina (2016-2019); deployed with the Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Crisis Response Africa to Moron, Spain (2016-2017). United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Faculty Advisor (2018-2021). She report to 2d Medical Battalion February 2021.

Master Chief Bankus is qualified to wear the Enlisted Fleet Marine Force Warfare (FMF) insignia, qualified Master Training Specialist, and a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 213. Her personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), and various unit, service, and campaign ribbons/medals.
