Lieutenant Colonel Christina R. Henry

 LtCol Henry is from Texas.  She enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, Reserve in October 1998 while attending Liberty University in Virginia.  Her enlisted tours of duty as a Supply Administrative Clerk were with Marine Air Control Squadron 24, 4th Marine Air Wing, Virginia Beach, VA and 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, 4th Marine Division, Lynchburg, VA.

 Selected as an E-3 to the Platoon Leader’s Course, she was commissioned upon graduation from Liberty University in 2002.  Upon graduating from The Basic School in 2003 and the Ground Supply Officer’s Course in 2004, Second Lieutenant Henry was assigned to Supply Management Unit, 2d Supply Battalion, Camp Lejeune, NC as a Platoon Commander and the Deployment Support Unit Officer-in-Charge.  Her detachment was assigned within an atypical “Unit Deployment Program” to support eleven revised Combined Arms Exercises in Twenty-nine Palms, CA from September 2004 to March 2005 in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM (OIF).  First Lieutenant Henry deployed with her detachment to Hitt, Iraq with MSSG-22, 22d MEU (SOC) from September 2005 to May 2006 in support of OIF.  

August 2006, First Lieutenant Henry reported as the Battalion Supply / Fiscal Officer and Assistant Logistics Officer for Weapons and Field Training Battalion, Parris Island, SC.  June 2007, Captain Henry assumed duties as the Headquarters and Support (H&S) Company Commander and the Battalion Logistics Officer (retaining Battalion Supply / Fiscal Officer duties).  Upon completion of EWS in May 2010, she was selected as a Platoon Commander / Instructor summer augment to Officer Candidate School, Quantico, VA.  

Captain Henry transferred to the Marine Wing Support Group 37 (MWSG-37) in October 2010 to serve as the Group Logistics Officer and Supply / Fiscal Officer.  During this tour she was selected as the Logistics Plans Officer (MOS 0402) for Marine Aircraft Group 50 in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM (OEF 11-1 & 11-2).  Captain Henry returned to MWSG-37 to assume the duties as H&S Company Commander and Group Supply Officer until the unit deactivated and stood up as the Aviation Ground Support Department (AGSD).  She then served as AGSD Operations Branch Head before deploying with 3d Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) as the Wing Material Readiness Officer in Afghanistan (OEF 12-2).  Captain Henry returned to AGSD to serve as the Logistics Branch Head. 

Captain Henry completed the Naval War College Command & Staff and Maritime Advanced Warfare School (MAWS), Newport, RI in June 2014 and September 2014, respectively.  Upon completion of MAWS, Major Henry was designated as a MAGTF Plans Officer (MOS 0505). 
 
In September 2014, Major Henry reported to War Plans Branch, G-5, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific (MARFORPAC).  Major Henry was assigned as MARFORPAC’s Joint and Maritime Operational Lead Planner to USINDOPACOM for Operational Plan (OPLAN) 507X. 
 
From June 2017 to May 2018, Major Henry served in Combat Logistics Battalion 3, Kaneohe, HI as the Executive Officer then reported to Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps, Installations and Logistics to serve as the Aide-de-Camp to the Deputy Commandant.  From February 2019 to May 2020 Lieutenant Colonel Henry was the Naval Aide to the Secretary of the Navy. 

LtCol Henry has a Bachelor of Science degree in Child / Adolescent Psychology from Liberty University, a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and Business Management and Supervisory Master Certificates from Master Class Management.  Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (gold star in lieu of second award), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (gold star in-lieu of third award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (gold star in-lieu of second award), and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.  LtCol Henry is the recipient of the 2017 Major General Thomas S. Jones award for EWS Distance Learning Instructor of the Year.
