Sgt. Hong C. Deng, a field wireman with Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, stands proud after receiving an Air Medal (Strike/ Flight) during a ceremony held aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Mar. 5, 2010. Deng received the medal for his actions while serving as the battle staff controller, a billet typically held by a staff noncommissioned officer, with Joint Airborne Battle Staff Detachment, Multi National Force – Iraq, Marine Central Command from April 4, 2009 to May 15, 2009.
