Cpl. Zachary Moats, a circuit card repair technician with 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward) is presented with a challenge coin by Maj. Gen. John A. Toolan, the commanding general of Regional Command Southwest, at the Intermediate Maintenance Activity lot aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Sept. 17. Moats and a colleague were able to save the unit more than $105,000 by repairing equipment down to the component level, vice the other option of purchasing new equipment at several times the cost.
