Sergeant Major, Combat Logistics Battalion 8
Sergeant Major Brian A. Price

Sergeant Major Price joined the Marine Corps in July of 1999 and reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego for Recruit Training with Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion. Upon gradution, he reported to Marine Combat Training Battailion, Camp Pendleton California. After Graduating from Fox Company, he reported to Marine Corps Communication Electronics School, Field Radio Operator Course, 29 Palms California, where he received the MOS 2531. 

In January 2000, he reported to Communications Platoon, 2nd Battalion 1st Marines. In March 2000 he was assigned as company Radio Operator for Golf Company 2/1 and completed one Western Pacific deployment in support of Operation Southern Watch aboard the USS Boxer. In 2002, Lance Corporal Price received orders to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, as the Classified Material Control Clerk. He completed another Western Pacific Deployment aboard the USS Belleau Wood. In March 2003, Corporal Price deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as team leader for the Task Force Yankee Commanding Officers Personal Security Detachment. 

In 2003, Sergeant Price requested and received orders to Drill Instructor School, MCRD San Diego. Upon graduation, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, Echo Company where he served as Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. In 2005, Sergeant Price was assigned to the MCRD Swim tank where he served as Team Leader, Special Projects Team Leader, and Chief Survival Instructor. Upon completion of Drill Instructor Duty, Staff Sergeant Price received orders to Combat Logistics Battalion 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group. 

In 2008, Staff Sergeant Price completed another OIF deployment to Fallujah, Iraq and served as the Radio Chief and Communications Chief. In 2010, he completed a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, serving as the Radio Chief, Communications Chief, and Communications Officer. Upon return from Afghanistan, he was selected to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and received orders to Inspector and Instructor Duty with 3d Battalion 24th Marine Regiment where he served as the Communications Officer, Communications Chief, EKMS Manager, Casualty Assistant Calls Officer, and H&S Company First Sergeant.  

In 2013, Gunnery Sergeant Price received orders back to 2nd Battalion 1st Marines where he served as the Battalion Radio Chief until his selection to First Sergeant in December 2013. In May 2014, First Sergeant Price reported to MCRD San Diego where he served as the Company 1stSgt for Golf and Echo Company. In February 2017, he reported to 8th Engineer Support Battalion where he served as the Bravo Company and H&S Company 1stSgt.  In November of 2018, he was selected to his current rank and serves as the Sergeant Major for Combat Logistics Battalion 8. 

Sergeant Major Price’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in lieu of fourth award, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and Good Conduct Medal with four stars. He currently holds a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management and is currently an MBA candidate at Washington State University.
