Leadership

Lt. Col. Brandon E. Cooley
Commanding Officer, 8th Engineer Support Battalion

Brandon Cooley, a native of Omaha, Nebraska, enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1999 and attended recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. In June 2003, he attended Officer Candidate’s School. In May 2004, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and attended The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia.

Maj. David Murray
Executive Officer, 8th Engineer Support Battalion

Maj. David Murray graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and received his commission through Platoon Leaders Class. He attended The Basic School, Quantico, VA from 2008 to 2009 and obtained the Armor Officer Military Occupational Specialty.

Sgt. Maj. Victor C. Mancini
Sergeant Major, 8th Engineer Support Battalion

Originally from Raymond, Maine, Sergeant Major Mancini graduated from MCRD Parris Island in December 1995. Following completion of MCT he completed the KC-130 Communication/ Navigation/ Identification Course at MCAS Cherry Point, NC and reported to Marine Transport Squadron One (VMR-1), Cherry Point, NC for duty as an Avionics Technician and, subsequently, a Crew Chief on the C-9B.
