2nd Distribution Support Battalion

Lieutenant Colonel Valenti was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in December 2008, having completed his undergraduate education at Quinnipiac University. Lieutenant Colonel Valenti completed The Basic School and Logistics Officers Course in 2009. He was then ordered to 1st Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment-15, 1st Marine Logistics Group. From October 2009 to July 2010, he served as the Motor Transport Maintenance Company Executive Officer and Motor Transport Engineer Platoon Commander.

Sergeant Major Efrain Barrientos was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala and was raised in Princeton, New Jersey. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 25 July 2005 and completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC. Following recruit training, Private First Class Barrientos attended Marine Combat Training and Personnel Administration School in Camp Lejeune, NC.
