COMMANDING OFFICER, COMBAT LOGISTICS BATTALION 26
Lt. Col. Veronica Kaltrider

Lieutenant Colonel Kaltrider is a logistics officer and native of Queens, NY. She enlisted in the Marine Corps in June of 1997. After recruit training, she attended the Unit Diary Clerks Course, Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, NC. She reported to 4th Combat Engineer Battalion, Baltimore, Maryland, for duty in August 1998 as a reservist. From 2001 to 2003, then Corporal Connolly transferred to the Reserve Support Unit (RSU), Cherry Point, NC, to serve on active duty as an Administrative Clerk, supporting Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).  

In 2003, she received her commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps. As a Company Grade Officer, she served in the following billets: Landing Support Platoon Commander, 3d Transportation Support Battalion (3d TSB); S-2 Officer, Combat Logistics Regiment 3 (CLR 3); Assistant Operations Officer and Logistics Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 4 (CLB 4); Motor Transport Platoon, Combat Logistics Patrol Commander, and Arrival and Departure Airfield Control Group Officer-In-Charge, Combat Logistics Regiment 25 (CLR 25) in Iraq; Series Commander, 4th Recruit Training Battalion; Scheduling Officer and Visits Coordinator, Recruit Training Regiment; and S-4 Department Head, Marine Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Squadron 1 in garrison and deployed to Afghanistan.  

As a Field Grade Officer, she served in the following billets: Department of Defense Legislative Fellow to Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC); Legislative Assistant to the Marine Corps Force Innovation Office; Operations Officer, Logistics Policy and Capabilities (LPC) Branch, Installations and Logistics (DC, I&L); Student, resident Command and Staff College where she earned her Master’s Degree through the Advanced Studies Program; Company Commander, Combat Logistics Company 23, Combat Logistics Regiment 25; Executive Officer, 2d Maintenance Battalion; G4 Operations Officer and Director of Diversity and Inclusion (including Women, Peace, and Security Gender Advisor), U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command; Deputy Regional Environmental Compliance/Operations Officer, Marine Corps Installations – East, and Combat Logistics Battalion 26 where she currently serves.  

Lieutenant Colonel Kaltrider’s education includes: Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morgan State University; she attended the University of Maryland University College for Psychology; non-resident Expeditionary Warfare school; non-resident and resident Marine Corps Command and Staff College; and she is currently a student at the Army War College blended seminar program. Lieutenant Colonel Kaltrider's combat tours include: Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. She also supported four Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Relief missions in the INDOPACOM AOR. Lieutenant Colonel Kaltrider's decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal with two gold stars, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star, and Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.
