In September 2005, Private First Class Jordan reported to 2d Tank Battalion, 2d Marine Division. In June 2006, he was promoted to Lance Corporal where he deployed with 2d Tank Battalion, Charlie Company, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from October 2006 to April 2007. In May 2008, he was promoted to Corporal and deployed again to support Operation Iraqi Freedom with 2d Tank Battalion, Bravo Company, from April to August 2009. During this deployment, Corporal Jordan held the billets of Maintenance Chief, Shop Chief, and Quality Control Chief.
Corporal Jordan was promoted to Sergeant in December 2009 and reported to Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Johnson, North Carolina, where he graduated Formal Schools Instructor School, and Logistics Vehicle Systems Replacement Maintenance Course as the honor graduate. From there, he was assigned to Motor Transport Maintenance Instructional Company, where he served as an instructor within the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement Section.
In July 2012, Sergeant Jordan reported to Drill Instructor School aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon graduating, he was assigned to 1st Recruit Training Battalion, where he served as a Drill Instructor and Senior Drill Instructor. In July 2015, he was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and subsequently selected to fulfill the billet of Chief Drill Instructor.
Upon completion of his tour as a Drill Instructor in October 2015, Staff Sergeant Jordan executed orders to Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, Motor Transport Company. Staff Sergeant Jordan then deployed with Bravo Company, Marine Wing Support Squadron 372, in support of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command 17.2, aboard Isa Air base, Bahrain. During this deployment, he simultaneously held the billets of Motor Transport Maintenance Chief, Airfield Operations Chief, Support Platoon Commander, and Company First Sergeant.
In December 2018, he was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant, and in April 2019, reported to the University of Missouri Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps, to serve as the Assistant Marine Officer Instructor. Shortly upon checking in, he was sent to augment as a Sergeant Instructor for Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. In the summer of 2021, he was sent to Naval Service Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, where he was chosen to be the Operations Chief and Drill Instructor for a New Student Indoctrination program.
In April 2022, Gunnery Sergeant Jordan was frocked to the rank of First Sergeant and reported to 2d Battalion, 7th Marines, Twenty-nine Palms, California. Upon his arrival, he became the Easy Company Unit Senior Enlisted Leader. In June 2023, First Sergeant Jordan was assigned the role of Unit Senior Enlisted Leader for Headquarters Company, 7th Marine Regiment, and then from February to August 2024, simultaneously served as the acting Regimental Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
In June 2025, he was frocked to his current rank of Sergeant Major and reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, for assignment as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
Sergeant Major Jordan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Purdue University Global with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (third award), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (fourth award), and a Combat Action Ribbon.
