Lieutenant Colonel E. Saúl Manzanet

Saúl Manzanet from the Bronx, NY enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in 1991.  After completing the School of Infantry, he joined 2d Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment (2/24).  Sergeant Manzanet accepted his honorable discharge in 1999 and focused on his family and civilian career as First Vice President, Information Technology at Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc.  In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, commissioned as a Second Lieutenant, and reentered the Marine Corps.

Operational assignments include Special Projects Officer, Operations, Assistant Chief of Staff G-4 (Logistics), 2d Marine Division; Motor Transportation Platoon Commander, Assistant Logistics Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer, 3d Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment (3/6).  Transportation Services Company Commander, Engineer Services Company Commander, Maintenance Services Company Commander, and Battalion Operations Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 4 (CLB-4) in Okinawa, Japan.  Regional Plans Section Head, Assistant Chief of Staff G-5 (Plans), II MEF.

Supporting establishment assignments include Advanced Ground Transportation Officer-In-Charge and Class Advisor, Logistics Operations School, Camp Lejeune, NC; Platoon Commander, Officer Candidate School; and Faculty Advisor, Expeditionary Warfare School.

Joint duty includes US Marine Corps Security Cooperation Officer (Deputy Chief End-Use-Monitoring/Foreign Military Sales Support) to the US Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq.

Lieutenant Colonel Manzanet’s military education include Logistics Officers Course, Expeditionary Warfare School (distinguished graduate), Marine Corps Command & Staff College, School of Advanced Warfighting, and Joint & Combined Warfare School (JPMEII).  LtCol Manzanet holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from UW-Milwaukee, Master of Military Studies and Master of Operational Studies from Marine Corps University.
