Major Sean T. Daley

Major Daley commissioned through the NROTC program at Oregon State University in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geography and a Minor in Naval Science. He later earned a Master of Arts in International Relations from Webster University in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Security Studies (East Asia and the Indo-Pacific) from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2023.

After completing The Basic School and the Engineer Officer Course in 2012, Major Daley was assigned as a Combat Engineer Platoon Commander with Combat Assault Battalion (CAB) in Okinawa, Japan. He deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2013, serving as the Route Clearance Equipping Officer for ISAF-NATO. Upon returning to Okinawa, he served as the Headquarters and Service (H&S) Company Executive Officer for CAB.

From 2014 to 2016, Major Daley was assigned to 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade (5th MEB) in Bahrain, serving as a Watch Officer and later as a Battle Captain in support of Operation Inherent Resolve in Kuwait. He subsequently served as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General, 5th MEB and Commander, Task Force 51 (CTF-51).

In 2017, Major Daley reported to 7th Engineer Support Battalion (7th ESB) at Camp Pendleton, California, where he commanded Bridge Company and later H&S Company. He deployed to Iraq in 2019, serving as the Task Force Spartan Engineer Officer during Operation Inherent Resolve. Upon returning to 7th ESB, he was appointed as the SPMAGTF-Alaska Liaison Officer in Anchorage, Alaska, and subsequently assumed command of H&S Company through 2020.

In 2022, Major Daley was assigned to Commander, United States Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT) as a Deliberate Plans Officer within the N53 Directorate at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He transitioned to his current assignment in 2024 as the Executive Officer of Combat Logistics Battalion 26. In addition to his primary duties, he serves as a Faculty Advisor for Expeditionary Warfare School-Distance Education.

Major Daley’s professional military education includes graduation from the Expeditionary Warfare School (Resident and Non-Resident), Marine Advisor Course, Marine Corps Civil-Military Operations Planner Course, USMC Command and Staff College (Non-Resident, JPME I, Distinguished Graduate), and the Naval Postgraduate School's National Security Affairs program. He also completed numerous joint and service-level specialty courses, including the Joint Logistics Course, Joint Engineer Operations Course, Intermediate MAGTF Information Operations Practitioner Course, and the Regional Cultural Language Familiarization program.

His personal decorations include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with two Gold Stars, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
