Major Jennifer N. Delaney

Major Jennifer Delaney was born on 30 December 1988 in Chicago, Illinois. In June 2015, she reported to Officer Candidate School (OCS). She graduated from OCS and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 7 August 2015. Immediately following OCS, she reported to The Basic School (TBS), class 7-15. She graduated from TBS in March 2016. In May 2016, she reported to the Military Police Officer Basic Course (MPOBC) in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Following her graduation from MPOBC, Major Delaney reported to Okinawa, Japan. In September 2016, she was assigned to Military Police Company B, 3D Law Enforcement Battalion (3D LE Bn) and served as a Platoon Commander. From May to August 2017, Major Delaney was assigned to Custodial Support Element, Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) as the Military Police Detachment OIC for a bilateral security and corrections mission at Aduana Compound, Camp Aguinaldo, Philippines. She was directly responsible for the safeguarding of a U.S. prisoner and coordinating with personnel from the U.S. Embassy Manila, MARFORPAC, PACOM and the Republic of the Philippines Bureau of Corrections.

In November 2017, Major Delaney was reassigned as the Company Executive Officer for Military Police Company B, 3D LE Bn. During this time, her battalion participated in Khaan Quest 18 in Mongolia, a multinational peacekeeping exercise. In August 2018, Major Delaney reported to 1st Law Enforcement Battalion (1st LE Bn) and was assigned as the H&S Company Executive Officer. In September 2018, she was temporarily assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 15 as the Anti-terrorism Force Protection Officer for San Francisco Fleet Week 2018. In March 2019, Major Delaney was assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Central Command (SPMAGTF-CR-CC) Command Element 19.2 as the Anti-terrorism Force Protection Officer.

Major Delaney deployed to Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait from August 2019 to May 2020. During her deployment, she also served as the Female Engagement Team OIC and as a Watch Officer in the Crisis Response Operation Center. From May 2020 to April 2021, Major Delaney reported back to 1st LE Bn and was assigned as the Headquarters and Support Company Commander. During this time, she assisted in the deactivation of 1st LE Bn. From May 2021 to May 2024, Major Delaney served as the Officer Selection Officer at Officer Selection Station East Lansing, Michigan.

Upon completing her MCRC tour, Major Delaney lateral moved into the logistics field and attended the Logistics Officer Course in September 2024. From October 2024 to March 2025, Major Delaney was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 22 (CLB-22) as the Headquarters and Services Company Commander.

In March 2025, she assumed the Battalion Executive Officer billet for CLB-22. Major Delaney has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Her personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2nd Award).
