Colonel Patrick S. Williams

Colonel Patrick Williams is originally from Kent, WA. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in May 2001. From June 2001 through March 2002, he attended The Basic School and the Logistics Operations School (LOS).

Upon graduation from LOS, he was designated a logistics officer. As a company grade officer, his operational assignments were Maintenance Management Officer, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines (Operation IRAQI FREEDOM); Motor Transport Officer, HQ Battery, 11th Marines; Operations Officer, Combat Logistics Regiment 27; and Company Commander, Combat Logistics Battalion 6 (Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 10-1).

As a field grade officer, his operational assignments were Operations Officer, 2nd Supply Battalion (Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 11-2); Logistics Officer, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU); and Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 24, 24th MEU (Operation FREEDOM'S SENTINEL).

His supporting establishment assignments include Naval Weapons Systems Instructor, U.S. Naval Academy; Logistics Strategy and Plans Officer, HQMC Aviation; and Prepositioning Programs Director, HQMC Plans, Policies, and Operations (PP&O). His joint duties include Director, Security Assistance Readiness Assessments, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (OUSD(P&R)).

Colonel Williams is a graduate of the Marine Corps Amphibious Warfare School distance education program, Naval Postgraduate School, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Air Force Air War College distance education program, and Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.

Colonel Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, a Master of Science degree in physics from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Masters degree in Military Studies from Marine Corps University, and a Master of Science degree in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School.

In June, 2025, Colonel Williams received orders to Combat Logistics Regiment 27 and is currently serving as the commanding officer.

Colonel Williams's personal decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal with three gold stars, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with one gold star, the Navy Achievement Medal with two gold stars, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
