Jonathon "Boomhower" Burks, a 20-year-old military policeman with Alpha team, 3rd platoon, Bravo Company, 2d Military Police Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2d Force Service Support Group (Forward), takes time to joke around with other MPs before going on a security patrol. Burks, who hails from Cullman, Ala., was nicknamed Boomhower after a TV show cartoon character because of his tendency to become incomprehensible when he gets excited.
