For the past three weeks, Marines with 7th Engineer Support Battalion have been the driving force behind the construction of a causeway in Helmand River, near Forward Operating Base Sabit Qadam. Once completed, the peninsula will serve as a platform for the construction of a medium-girder bridge that will span the remainder of the river and will aid in linking Routes 606 and 611.
