CMDCM (FMF/AW) Richard A. Jackson

Master Chief Richard A. Jackson enlisted in the United States Navy February, 1993.  Upon completion of Basic Training at Navy Recruit Training Command Orlando, he continued on to graduated Hospital Corpsman “A” School in San Diego.

Prior to his selection as CMC, Master Chief Jackson’s sea duty assignments include, 1st Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division as Charlie Battery senior line Corpsman;  3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division as the Training Petty Officer, Assistant Leading Petty Officer, and Leading Petty Officer;  Combined Security Transition Command Afghanistan as the Medical Directorate Operations Chief Petty Officer; 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division Leading Chief Petty Officer; 2nd Medical Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group as Senior Enlisted Leader for Alpha and Bravo Surgical, and Headquarters Service Companies; VFA-143 as Command Master Chief.  Master Chief Jackson has deployed with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard the USS Essex (LHD 2) and in support of Operations SECURE TOMMOROW, IRAQI FREEDOM, and ENDURING FREEDOM.

Shore assignments include Naval Medical Center San Diego emergency department as general duty Corpsman and Emergency Medical Technician; Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton Naval Addiction Rehabilitation and Addiction department Leading Petty Officer; Field Medical Training Battalion-East Administration Leading Petty Officer, Academics Leading Chief Petty Officer and Senior Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor; Little Rock Military Entrance Processing Station as the Senior Enlisted Advisor.

Master Chief Jackson is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy. His personal Awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (x2), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (x2), and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (x3).
