Biography

Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Regiment 2
Colonel Brett Bohne

Colonel Bohne is a joint qualified officer who graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and was subsequently commissioned in the United States Marine Corps. Upon graduating from The Basic School, he was designated as a Logistics Officer.

Colonel Bohne’s operational assignments include tours with the 2nd Force Service Support Group, 1st Marine Division, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, 1st Marine Logistics Group, and 3rd Marine Logistics Group. He is currently serving as the Commanding Officer of Combat Logistics Regiment 2.

Colonel Bohne has participated in combat operations supporting OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. Additionally, he participated in an integrated alliance response supporting OPERATION TOMODACHI.

Colonel Bohne’s supporting establishment tours include assignments with Recruiting Station Dallas, 8th Marine Corps District, and the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Division at the United States Naval Academy.

His joint assignments include serving within the Logistics Directorate and as the Service Element Commanding Officer for the United States Marine Corps Detachment, United States Africa Command.

Colonel Bohne earned a Master of Military Studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, Marine Corps University in 2014, and a Master of Science in National Security Strategy from the National War College, National Defense University in 2023.

His personal decorations include the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with gold stars in lieu of third award), Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with gold star in lieu of second award).
