CAMP TAQADDUM, Iraq (June 4, 2005)- Corporal John Clark, a Fowler, Ind., native and heavy equipment operator with Support Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2d Force Service Support Group (Forward), uses a pick ax to break away existing concrete and debris from a hole on Alternate Supply Route San Juan June 4. The Marines of 8th ESB conducted Operation San Juan, a five-day operation repairing holes Improvised Explosive Devices and heavy travel have caused, making it safer for convoys and local civilians who travel the road on a daily basis.
