U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Marcos R. Gonzalezceja, incoming sergeant major, 2nd Transportation Battalion, receives the non-commissioned officer sword from Lt. Col. Randall D. White, commanding officer of 2nd Transportation Battalion, during a relief and appointment ceremony on Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Jan. 28, 2022. The passing of the sword represents the transition of authority from one Sgt. Maj. to another. During the ceremony, Sgt. Maj. Ariton transferred the position to Sgt. Maj.
