Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 24
Lieutenant Colonel Travis K. Chamberlin

Travis Chamberlin attended Shawnee State University in his hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He attended Officer Candidate School and commissioned in March 2009, and subsequently attended The Basic School and Logistics Officer School.

Second Lieutenant Chamberlin joined Combat Logistics Battalion 1 in January 2010. He served as a motor transport Platoon Commander and deployed to Afghanistan in 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon return from deployment, First Lieutenant Chamberlin served as the Current Operations and Training Officer. 

In March 2013, First Lieutenant Chamberlin transferred to 1st Battalion, 7th Marines where he served as the Logistics Officer. He was promoted to Captain in April 2013. During this tour he deployed again to Afghanistan and supported the Marine Corps' drawdown and withdrawal from Regional Command Southwest. 

From June 2015 to July 2018, Captain Chamberlin was assigned to Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific where he served as an instructor and as the Course Manager of the Maritime Prepositioning Force Staff Planning course. Additionally, he provided platform instruction in support of the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore and Amphibious Warfare Staff Planning courses. 

Captain Chamberlin attended Expeditionary Warfare School in residence and graduated with distinction in May 2019. Following graduation, Major Chamberlin became a plank owner of Joint Force Command Norfolk, a NATO operational command, where he served as the J-5 Amphibious Planner. He led planning efforts in support of exercise Steadfast Defender 21 and supported NATO defense planning. 

From June 2021 to May 2022, Major Chamberlin attended Marine Corps Command and Staff College in residence and graduated with distinction. Following graduation, Major Chamberlin transferred to Combat Logistics Battalion 7 where he served as the Executive Officer from June 2022 to June 2024.

In June 2024, Major Chamberlin transferred to Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command where he served as the Director of Center Logistics Division and provided logistics support to tenant units and Service-Level Training exercise forces. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in October 2024. 

Lieutenant Colonel Chamberlin assumed command of Combat Logistics Battalion 24 in May 2025. 

Lieutenant Colonel Chamberlin holds a Master of Military Studies from Marine Corps Command and Staff College and a Master of Arts in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University. His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with gold star, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with gold star.
