MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (June 2, 2006) - Brigadier Gen. James A. Kessler, commanding general, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, speaks about predecessors during ceremony at the 2nd MLG Amphitheater, where Headquarters & Service Battalion, was officially deactivated.  The battalion supported many foreign deployments in its 62 year career, from World War II to Operation Iraqi Freedom. The battalion now falls under the name Combat Logistics Regiment 2.
