CAMP TAQADDUM, Iraq- The Shock Trauma Platoon, operating with the Forward Resuscitative Surgical System, treated 40 service members and 10 civilians wounded in action, providing emergency treatment, stabilizing the patients and forwarding them for higher echelons of care during Operation Matador. ?Our team did phenomenally with the increased ops tempo. We prepared by conducting drills and augmenting supplies in anticipation of increased patient load. We also had medical volunteers camp wide in order to aide the effort,? said Lt. Cmdr. Lisa A.
