AL ASAD AIR BASE, Iraq (Nov. 19, 2007) ? Lance Cpl. Robert C. Bland prepares his gear in the back of a mine-resistant ambush protected vehicle before a mission Nov. 19. The members of the Obstacle Clearing Detachment clear obstacles that would impede the movement of convoys. Bland is a combat engineer and OCD team member with Combat Engineer Platoon, Engineer Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 4, 2nd Marine Logistics Group (Forward). Bland is a Tallahassee, Fla., native.
