Jesse James Dorsey, a 31-year-old warehouse chief with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, and a former Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego drill instructor Dorsey came from humble beginnings in Los Angeles, where gang-violence destroyed neighborhoods and took the lives of thousands of young men. “The percentage of men going to jail was very high,” Dorsey said, “My brother went to jail at age 14 and is still in the penitentiary.
