Camp Lejeune, N.C., U.S. - Staff Sgt. Brandon R. Trent, a Lawrence, Kan., native and explosive ordnance disposal technician with 2nd EOD Company, 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, wears the Bronze Star Medal during a ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 4, 2014. Trent earned the medal with combat distinguishing device for his actions disarming improvised explosive devices while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013. In a period of less than 24 hours, Trent rendered nine improvised explosive devices safe during a clearing operation in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
