Mission

​Provides Combat Service Support to 2d Marine Division and provides throughput and distribution support to II Marine Expeditionary Force in order to logistically enable the division to generate forces in garrison, conduct operations across the spectrum of conflict, maintain operational tempo while delaying culmination. Be prepare to serve as the Logistics Command Element to a Marine Air-Ground Task Force.

Colonel Garaux is a joint qualified officer, who originally enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves in 1995 as an infantry / mortar specialist with Kilo Co 3/25. He graduated from The Ohio State University and was commissioned in June 1999. Upon graduating from The Basic School, he was designated as a Logistics Officer.

Sergeant Major John W. Schlaud was born in Flint, Michigan, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August 1998 and completed recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), San Diego. Upon graduation, he attended Marine Combat Training and then reported to Fort Leonard Wood to obtain the military occupational specialty 1345, Heavy Equipment Operator.
