Travis Chamberlin attended Shawnee State University in his hometown of Portsmouth, Ohio, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He attended Officer Candidate School and commissioned in March 2009, and subsequently attended The Basic School and Logistics Officer School.

Sergeant Major Daniel R. Kermeen
Senior Enlisted Advisor, Combat Logistics Battalion 24

Sergeant Major Kermeen was born in Madison, Indiana, on August 12, 1986. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 2006. Following his recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina, he attended the School of Infantry-East for Marine Combat Training on Camp Geiger, North Carolina. Upon completion, Private First Class Kermeen embarked on the Motor Transport Operators Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, earning the Military Occupational Specialty of Logistic Vehicle System Operator.
